Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB)

Zürich Airport is situated in close proximity to Zürich and has connections to major European cities, as well as international hubs. Basel and Geneva airports offer many connections including lost-cost carriers that do not operate from Zürich. You can reach Zürich main station conveniently by train from Basel (1hr30) and Geneva (2hr50) airports.

Transfer from Zürich Airport to Zürich City

The journey from the airport to the city center is just ten minutes by train (services every 15 minutes) or around 20 minutes by taxi.

Train

The railway station at the Zürich Airport is located directly beneath the Airport Shopping area, just minutes away from Check-Ins 1-3 as well as Arrival Halls 1+2. Trains run every 10 minutes to and from the Zürich Main Station during peak traffic times (travel time 10 minutes):

Taxi

The taxi ranks are located directly by the exits at the Arrivals terminals 1 and 2. The trip by taxi from the airport to the center of Zürich costs around CHF 50 (EUR 35).

Travel within Zürich

The easiest way to travel within the city is by public transport. The Zürich Transport Network (ZVV) is the tariff and transportation network for local public transport in the city and canton of Zürich. Tickets are valid for travel on trams, buses, boats and trains. A single ticket (valid 1 hour) for the City costs 4.20 CHF and a day pass (24 hours) costs 8.40 CHF.

Getting to the Botanic Garden

By public transport - The nearest stops are Hoschgasse (Tram 2 or 4), Hegibachplatz (Tram 11, S-Bahn 18 or Bus 31) or Botanischer Garten (Bus 33).
By foot - From Bellevue/Stadelhofen it is ca. 20 mins walk.
