I am an agricultural engineer focused on the use and importance of food as medicine, particularly in nutrition-sensitive agriculture or traditional foods and foodways.
Formerly a researcher at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, I managed and applied the Aquatic Food Composition Database to improve fisheries' contributions to human health.
I am deeply committed to the health and wellbeing of people and planet, with previous appointments in international non-profit organizations and mission-driven businesses holding a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Biological Systems Engineering with a focus in Agricultural and Natural Resources from the University of California Davis.
