I am fascinated by how ecological interactions shape adaptation and drive the evolution of biological diversity. During my PhD with Prof. Dr. Florian Schiestl, I will investigate how biotic and abiotic factors influence the coevolution of plants and insects across geographic landscapes. By integrating field experiments, experimental evolution, behavioural ecology, and genomic approaches, I aim to understand how environmental variation shapes local adaptation and the evolutionary trajectories of plants and butterflies that act as both herbivores and pollinators.
